About

Ranunculus lyallii, the Mount Cook buttercup, is a large, bold perennial from New Zealand producing very large, shiny, rounded, peltate leaves and tall stems bearing white, bowl-shaped flowers in summer. One of the most spectacular of all buttercups for a cool, moist, sheltered border.

Ranunculus are annuals, biennials and perennials with variable, often palmately lobed or dissected leaves and bowl-shaped, usually shiny-petalled flowers in yellow, white, orange or red. A diverse and widely cultivated genus for borders, meadows and water features.
