Myrica gale, bog myrtle, is a deciduous, suckering shrub with highly aromatic foliage. Clusters of yellow and brown catkins appear at the ends of shoots in spring, followed by small, yellow-brown berries. Naturally found in wet heathland and bogs. An ornamental and aromatic native shrub for a moist, acid soil.
