Myosotis alpestris, the alpine forget-me-not, is a compact, short-lived perennial to around 20 cm with softly hairy, lance-shaped, green leaves to 8 cm long. Dense clusters of small, sky-blue flowers with yellow centres are produced in spring and early summer. The parent of many popular annual forget-me-not cultivars.
