Hydrangea paniculata 'Everest' is a deciduous panicled hydrangea cultivar that produces large conical flower panicles from June to September. It grows as a multi-stemmed shrub and can be trained as a climber on a sheltered wall. It prefers partial shade on north-facing sites in neutral, moist loam and withstands cold UK winters (H6). The flowers open pale and mature into creamy white heads.

As a cultivar it forms a deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub that can also be trained up a support, producing prominent conical panicles from June to September that develop from pale buds to creamy white flowerheads. Choose a north-facing, sheltered position with partial shade and a free-draining loam kept reliably moist and close to neutral pH. 'Everest' is rated H6, which translates as very hardy in UK gardens, so it tolerates typical winter temperatures; planting slightly sheltered from harsh winds reduces flower and stem damage. Light spring pruning encourages larger heads and helps maintain shape when grown as a specimen or against a wall. Use 'Everest' in mixed borders, woodland-edge planting, large containers or trained against a wall where its upright panicles can be seen at eye level. Allow space for the flowerheads: stems can carry heavy panicles in late summer, so provide room or simple tying when training to prevent flopping and to display the flower heads cleanly.
