Globba winitii, the dancing girl ginger, is a graceful, rhizomatous perennial from Thailand producing arching stems to around 60 cm with lance-shaped leaves and elegant, drooping flower spikes bearing purple bracts and small, yellow flowers. One of the most ornamental of the dancing gingers for a warm, sheltered, moist border or heated conservatory.
