Cyphostemma juttae, the elephant's foot, is a striking, slow-growing succulent shrub from Namibia developing a thick, swollen, peeling, yellowish trunk storing water and nutrients, with broad, divided, grey-green leaves in summer. Small, yellowish flowers are followed by bunches of red fruits. A remarkable architectural succulent for a frost-free, very well-drained, sunny position or heated greenhouse.
