Coreopsis auriculata 'Superba' is a North American perennial from states including Kentucky, North Carolina, West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Virginia and Arkansas. As a member of the Asteraceae it produces yellow, daisy-style heads over a prolonged summer period and typically attains a height of around 1.5 m. Give it a sunny position and a free-draining soil; sandy or loamy substrates are ideal and the plant tolerates moisture as long as drainage is reliable. Exposure should be full sun. It is rated H7 for UK hardiness (fully hardy) and corresponds to USDA zones 4–8, so it can remain outdoors year-round in most British gardens.
