Taxonomic notes: The circumscription of C. coreana Nakai is discussed under C. turczanonowii, in which it had previously been included. However, the common Korean name ‘Sosanamu’is applied to this scientific name, which is widely used for landscaping purpose in Korea. It is native to China North-Central, Korea, Manchuria, Primorye, NO and other regions. In the garden it prefers full sun and partial shade and most soil types. In UK gardens it is fully hardy throughout the UK (RHS H7). Suggested uses include cottage and informal garden, low maintenance, flower borders and beds and hedging and screens.
