Luzula luzuloides, the white wood-rush or oakforest wood-rush is a species of flowering plant in the family Juncaceae (rush family). It is native to Central Europe, from the Balkans to Fennoscandia, but it has also been introduced to the British Isles and other parts of Europe, and to the north-eastern United States and eastern Canada. Grow it in full shade and partial shade and most soil types. In UK gardens it is fully hardy throughout the UK (RHS H7). It works well for cottage and informal garden, wildflower meadow, wildlife gardens and low maintenance. It tolerates soil of any pH, moist but well-drained conditions and north-facing, east-facing, south-facing and west-facing aspects. Plant in well-drained soil in a suitable position. Water during establishment.
