A compact, annual or short-lived perennial from rocky, dry habitats in eastern Turkey and the Caucasus with small, elliptic, slightly hairy, grey-green leaves and small, pale pink to white, five-petalled flowers in spring. A delicate little-known species for a sunny, very well-drained alpine house.
