Rhopalostylis baueri

Rhopalostylis sapida is a slow-growing feather palm that reaches heights of 6 to 10 meters. Its trunk is adorned with grey-green leaf scars and features a smooth, rounded crownshaft that can measure up to 60 centimeters in length. At the top, a cluster of feathery leaves, measuring between 1.2 and 1.8 meters, emerges in an upright arrangement resembling a shuttlecock. The plant produces lilac-cream flowers, which are succeeded by elongated fruits about 1 centimeter in length that take nearly a year to ripen to a deep red color.
