Pachira alba

Pachira aquatica is a sizable evergreen tree typically cultivated as an indoor plant, frequently featuring multiple trunks woven together. Initially, its stems exhibit a vibrant green hue, transitioning to a grey-brown as they mature. The plant showcases large, shiny, dark green leaves, each composed of five or more elongated leaflets. While it can attain heights of up to 20 meters in its native tropical environment, it generally remains around 1.5 meters when grown in a container. When mature, the tree produces noteworthy flowers characterized by five cream-colored petals, each measuring around 30 centimeters, adorned with numerous gold and crimson stamens. These blooms are followed by substantial fruit, which can contain as many as 25 seeds.
