Myosotidium is a single-species genus belonging to the borage family, Boraginaceae.

Myosotidium hortensia is a perennial characterized by its substantial, slightly thick, glossy green foliage, which can grow up to 30 cm in length. In early summer, it produces terminal clusters of blue flowers resembling those of forget-me-nots, measuring approximately 1.25 cm in diameter. These blooms feature paler edges and darker centers, and they are supported by sturdy stems that rise above or emerge among the leaves, reaching a total height of around 45 cm.
