Eomecon chionanthum is a perennial valued for use as ground cover in shady, sheltered sites. It prefers partial shade to shade and moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil with a neutral to acidic pH. It is hardy in the UK (H5). All parts are toxic if ingested, so avoid planting where children or pets might eat the foliage.
