Drimia sanguinea is a bulbous perennial in the Asparagaceae that produces its flowers from May to July. The plant has deciduous foliage that die back outside the growing season. It prefers full sun in a neutral loam that drains freely and should be placed on a south-facing, sheltered aspect. It is grown as an ornamental for seasonal flowering interest.
