Arum italicum is a herbaceous perennial in the Araceae family that produces its spring flowers between April and June and reaches about 0.4 m. It suits a wide range of light from full sun to full shade and grows in sandy, loamy or clay soils so long as they are well-drained. Plant growth prefers soil that is moist but not waterlogged. All parts are toxic if eaten and the sap can irritate skin and eyes, so wear gloves when handling.

Italian arum (Arum italicum) is a herbaceous perennial flowering in April to June that suits both full sun and full shade and is fully hardy (H7).
