About

A compact, mat-forming, deciduous perennial to about 15cm from arctic and alpine habitats of the northern hemisphere with small, shallowly lobed, softly hairy, mid-green leaves and small, solitary, white, five-petalled flowers in spring. A delicate and charming choice alpine for cool, moist, well-drained conditions in a rock garden or alpine house.
