Dracophyllum longifolium is a plant with a shrub, small tree habit in the genus Dracophyllum, part of the Ericaceae family, with evergreen foliage. Dracophyllum longifolium grows best in full sun, and tolerates loam soils and acid pH. Its UK hardiness is rated H4. Suggested uses include specimen plant, rock garden and coastal planting.

Dracophyllum longifolium, commonly called inaka (from Māori), is an upright shrub or small tree in the family Ericaceae that is endemic to New Zealand. Dracophyllum longifolium grows mostly in the South Island but is found throughout New Zealand from sea level up to 1,200 metres (3,900 ft). Inaka occurs in open forests where it can grow as high as 12 metres and in sub-alpine areas it generally reaches 1–1.5 metres (3 ft 3 in – 4 ft 11 in). Grow it in full sun and loam soil. In UK gardens it is hardy through an average UK winter (RHS H4). It works well for specimen plant, rock garden and coastal planting. It tolerates acid soils, moist conditions and south-facing aspects. Plant in well-drained soil in a suitable position. Water during establishment.
