About
Dianthus carthusianorum, the German pink, is a variable, evergreen perennial with lax to erect stems to 50 cm or more, rising from a woody base. The flowers are usually reddish-magenta, produced in dense terminal clusters throughout summer above linear, rich-green leaves clustered at the base. A classic, tough cottage-garden pink for a sunny, well-drained border or meadow planting.
