Crocus veluchensis is a species of flowering plant in the family Iridaceae. It is a cormous perennial native to central and southern Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and North Macedonia. In Bulgaria it is widespread in the mountain ranges of Rila, Pirin, the Rhodope Mountains, the Balkan Mountains, Sredna Gora, Vitosha, Belasitsa, Slavyanka and others. In the garden it prefers full sun and loam soil. In UK gardens it is very hardy across most of the UK (RHS H6). Suggested uses include borders, containers, lawns and under deciduous trees. It tolerates neutral soils, well-drained conditions and south-facing aspects. Plant at appropriate depth in well-drained soil.
