Anthurium hookeri, commonly called a bird's nest anthurium, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Anthurium. The leaves have triangular to D-shaped petioles 2–9 cm long, are rosulate, 10–26 cm wide, 35–89 cm long. Covering the leaves are tiny black glandular punctuates. The berries produced by the plant are white. It is native to French Guiana, Guyana, Netherlands Antilles, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago and other regions. In the garden it prefers full sun and loam soil. In UK gardens it needs tropical warmth and glass protection in the UK (RHS H1a). Suggested uses include indoor ornamental. It tolerates acid soils, moist conditions and south-facing aspects. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil. Provide support.
