Angelica japonica is a species of flowering plant in the carrot family (Apiaceae). It is native to Japan, where it is found from the Kantō region westward to the island of Okinawa.

They grow to 1–3 m tall, with large bipinnate leaves and large compound umbels of white or greenish-white flowers. It shows variations in fruit anatomy, leaf morphology, and subterranean structures.
