Harris Bugg Studio
About
An award-winning practice known for landscapes grounded in the stories of place, with five Chelsea Gold Medals to their name.
Charlotte Harris and Hugo Bugg founded Harris Bugg Studio in 2017 and have since built an award-winning practice with three studios across the UK, earning five RHS Gold Medals and the 2023 Best in Show award for their Horatio's Garden at Chelsea. The studio produces exceptional gardens that connect people with nature through creative use of vernacular materials, local craftspeople and resilient plants from nearby artisan nurseries. At the heart of the practice is a belief in the power of stories of place — drawing on history, memory, geography and community — paired with soulful, structured, seasonal planting that balances naturalism with legibility.
