Emily Erlam
About
A small, plant-led studio designing gardens with a strong sense of location — from Chatsworth to coastal Suffolk.
Heading up a small studio, Emily Erlam designs beautiful plant-led gardens with a strong sense of place. Current projects include light interventions at Chatsworth House — in the private garden of Laura and William Burlington — and a large landscape scheme for a Suffolk farmhouse. The studio's work balances an artist's sensibility with deep horticultural knowledge, with planting treated as the primary architectural and emotional material of each garden rather than as decorative finish. Erlam's commissions are designed for the long term, with a framework calibrated to remain compelling decades into a garden's life.
