Dan Bristow
About
A north-east Wales studio harnessing wide plant palettes and ecological logic for public and private commissions.
A recent addition to the House & Garden Top 50, Dan Bristow harnesses a wide plant palette to exploit ecological opportunities in his gardens, frequently collaborating with architects on both public and private commissions. Based in north-east Wales, Studio Bristow is currently designing a dramatic entrance plaza for Theatr Clwyd and a landscape featuring predominantly endemic species for clients in Crete. The studio's approach is grounded in the use of locally provenant plants and a belief that endemic species offer not only ecological resilience but often the most distinctive aesthetic outcome.
