A multiple RHS Gold Medallist, Cleve West is one of Britain's leading practitioners of veganic garden design — working without pesticides, synthetic fertilisers or peat, and trusting instead in healthy soil, diverse planting and natural processes. The studio works with clients who prioritise the preservation and restoration of natural habitats and are open to allowing more wilderness into their landscapes. West's portfolio spans private gardens across the UK, including a planting design for a garden on the Isle of Man, and the practice combines rigorous ecological thinking with notable visual beauty — gardens that may be a little rougher at the edges than conventional schemes but are immeasurably richer in life.
