James Alexander-Sinclair
About
A horticultural polymath whose practice spans private gardens, regenerative farmland and Lutyens-house commissions.
Horticultural polymath James Alexander-Sinclair is a highly accomplished garden designer, writer and Vice President of the RHS. Current work includes Horatio's Garden Scotland in Glasgow, a project around an Edwin Lutyens house in Surrey, and a regenerative farmland project near Newbury. The practice brings intellectual rigour and deep horticultural knowledge to a wide range of commissions, with each project shaped by close attention to the history of a place, the people who will live in it, and the plants chosen individually rather than in batches.
