Cattleya Portia gx is a medium to large, evergreen epiphytic orchid characterized by its elongated, upright, club-like stems that emerge from a short, creeping rhizome. Mature stems can extend up to 90 cm in height and typically support one or two firm, dark green leaves, although occasionally three may be found. These leaves are thick and leathery, broadly oval in shape, measuring up to 20 cm in length and 6 cm in width. The plant produces up to 15 flowers on terminal stems that can reach 25 cm long, blooming from autumn to early spring. Each flower spans approximately 8-10 cm and can display shades of pale or bright pink, with some cultivars exhibiting pale lilac.
