About
A tuberous, woodland Corydalis from rocky mountain habitats in the Himalaya with delicate, ternately divided, grey-green leaves emerging from a small tuber (cavei) and short racemes of small, pale pink to purple, spurred flowers in spring. A choice, miniature specialist for a cool, humus-rich, well-drained woodland garden.
About the genus
Ypsilandra are perennials growing from thick rhizomes. Evergreen leaves are long and thin and grow in a rosette at the base of the plant. Fragrant, tube-shaped nodding flowers appear on a long stem and can be pink, purple, white or yellow.
