About
This large, quick-growing, vigorous evergreen conifer making a large tree of narrowly conical habit, up to 35m in height, with flattened sprays of dark green foliage which take on a blueish tint as they mature. Small brown cones appear in the winter. A good choice for screening or hedging which can be kept in check by regular pruning.

Care notes
CultivationGrow in well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Suitable for hedging but requires regular trimming. Fast growing and has the potential to become a nuisance if not managed well
PruningTrim and shape as required, as long as cuts are confined to young green shoots. Old wood will not resprout. Trim hedges two or three times in the growing season. See Leyland cypress: pruning for further advice
