About

A compact, tufted perennial to about 10cm tall from central and eastern European mountain meadows with small, ovate, slightly toothed, mid-green leaves and small, violet-blue, five-petalled, spurred flowers in spring. A delicate wild species for moist, well-drained conditions in a rock garden or alpine trough.
