A scrambling, semi-evergreen shrub to about 3m from China and the Himalaya, with strikingly beautiful, deeply veined, silver-white beneath, palmate, five-lobed, dark green leaves and small, white flowers in flat-topped clusters, followed by red or orange, edible, bramble-like fruits. An ornamental foliage shrub for a sheltered, woodland garden.
