A cross between two hairy-leaved subshrub mulleins, forming a compact, mound-forming, semi-evergreen sub-shrub to about 20cm tall, with grey-green, hairy foliage and short, dense spikes of bright yellow, five-petalled flowers with purple-stamened centres in summer. A choice plant for a sunny, sharply drained rock garden or raised bed.
