A compact, cushion-forming, evergreen perennial acantholimon to about 15cm tall from stony, dry habitats of Turkey and the Caucasus, with dense hummocks of tiny, needle-like, mid-green leaves and short spikes of small, funnel-shaped, deep pink flowers in summer. A neat and reliable plant for a sunny, sharply-drained rock garden or raised bed.
