A tropical evergreen shrub from Borneo, with broadly ovate, leathery, dark green leaves and small, urn-shaped, pinkish flowers in short racemes, followed by small berries. Named after the Victorian plant collector Thomas Lobb, it is a little-cultivated specialist subject for warm, humid glasshouse collections.
