A terrestrial bladderwort from South America with large, kidney-shaped (reniformis) leaves held above the substrate and showy violet-blue flowers with a pale throat borne on erect racemes in spring and summer. One of the most ornamental bladderworts, it requires moist, peaty, humid conditions in a warm glasshouse.
