About

A large, semi-deciduous tree from the tropical forests of South and Southeast Asia with broadly ovate, glossy, dark green leaves and loose panicles of small, greenish-white flowers, followed by hard, grey, kidney-shaped fruits containing a strongly caustic oil. A botanical specimen and important source of natural chemicals in traditional Asian medicine.
