About

Langtang' forms a graceful, arching clump to about 4m tall. The young canes are blue-green, sometimes flushed with purple, and age to light brown with red tinges. The small, slender foliage gives a dainty effect.

Thamnocalamus are graceful, vigorous, clump-forming evergreen bamboos. Thick, hollow canes may be covered by a waxy, glaucous blue-white bloom, and bear small greyish-green leaves

Care notes

CultivationGrow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Protect from cold drying winds. In a container grow in a peat-free, loam-based compost and feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly during the growing season. See bamboo cultivation
