About
An unusual rhizomatous perennial up to 150cm in height. Insignificant, semi-tubular, mauve flowers appear at the top of tall, upright stems in late summer. The green leaves emerge in spring like a closed umbrella covered in silky hairs, opening out into deeply divided, circular leaves.
