A dwarf, mat-forming perennial from stony, semi-arid habitats in the Pamir-Alai with small, linear to narrowly spatula-shaped, grey-green leaves and short, erect stems bearing small, pale lilac to pink, five-petalled flowers in summer. A rare and challenging specialist for a very well-drained, cool alpine house.
