Silene dioica Zetlandica Group is a naturally occurring Shetland population of the red campion producing the characteristic hairy, lance-shaped leaves and pink, five-petalled flowers of the species in a distinctive island form. A rewarding native campion for a semi-shaded border or wildflower garden.

Silene, the campions and catchflies, are annuals, biennials and perennials producing two-lipped or notched petals in white, pink or red flowers, often with an inflated or sticky calyx. Excellent plants for a sunny, well-drained border, rock garden or wildflower meadow.
