About

Silene dioica, the red campion, is a robust, hairy, clump-forming perennial or biennial to 80 cm producing bright-green, lance-shaped to oval leaves and masses of deep-pink to red, five-petalled flowers from spring to late summer. A rewarding and cheerful native wildflower for a shaded or semi-shaded border, hedge bank or woodland edge.
