Sideritis syriaca, Cretan ironwort, is a compact, aromatic, densely white-woolly perennial to 40 cm producing the characteristic woolly leaves and whorled spikes of small, pale-yellow flowers of the genus in summer. Widely used as a traditional mountain tea. A rewarding aromatic plant for a sunny, well-drained border or herb garden.
