Sideritis scardica, the Greek mountain tea, is a compact, aromatic, grey-woolly perennial to 40 cm producing white-woolly, lance-shaped leaves and dense, whorled spikes of small, pale-yellow flowers in summer. Widely used as a traditional herbal tea (mountain tea) in Greece and the Balkans. A rewarding aromatic plant for a sunny, well-drained border or herb garden.
About the genus
