About
A rare, endemic Chilean tree to about 15�20m tall, the only member of its family, with large, elliptic, dark green, leathery leaves and large, fleshy, olive-like fruits with a spicy, aromatic flavour. A critically endangered species of great botanical interest, grown as a specialist subject in mild, sheltered gardens or large cool glasshouses.
