Semiaquilegia ecalcarata is a short-lived herbaceous perennial to 20 cm with narrow, lobed, green leaves. Upright stems bear nodding, bell-shaped, spurless flowers in shades of pink and purple in early summer. A charming and rewarding woodland perennial for a shaded, moist border or rock garden.
