About
A succulent, evergreen subshrub to 20cm, with rooting stems that bear compactly set, fleshy, cylindrical leaves to 2cm long. In mid-spring to summer it produces clusters of small, yellow, star-shaped flowers. The leaves emerge fresh green, darkening to pink and red.

Care notes
CultivationUnder glass, grow in peat-free, loam-based compost with added perlite, positioning plants in bright, filtered light. Water freely in the growing season and apply a half-strength liquid fertiliser monthly; water sparingly in winter. Potted plants can be moved onto the patio in summer.
