About
Sedum _ rubrotinctum, the jelly bean plant, is a low-growing, evergreen, succulent perennial to 20 cm with cylindrical, banana-shaped leaves up to 2 cm long arranged in spirals around sprawling stems � glossy green with red tips deepening to bronze in summer. Small, yellow flowers are borne in summer. A popular and rewarding trailing stonecrop for a sunny greenhouse bench, hanging basket or windowsill.

Care notes
CultivationUnder glass, grow in peat-free, loam-based compost with added perlite, positioning plants in bright, filtered light. Water freely in the growing season and apply a half-strength liquid fertiliser monthly; water sparingly in winter. Potted plants can be moved onto the patio in summer.
