A hardy, low-growing, mat-forming evergreen succulent perennial with short, narrow columns which have spirals of 6 lime green leaves on each row. Drought and heat-resistant and ideal within a mixed planting scheme of other, larger succulents. Star-shaped yellow flowers appear in the summer. Leaves turn more of a reddish colour when temperatures are very hot or very cold.
