An elegant, large, deciduous shrub to about 3m from China with small, oval, glossy, dark green leaves and large, open panicles of small, white, honey-scented flowers in mid to late summer, followed by small, purple-black berries. A refined and ornamental privet for a sunny, well-drained, mixed shrub border.
